We are by appointment only. Call or text 312-804-3192 for more information. But generally lessons are available the following times (based on instructor availability and previous reservations)
Where should I park?
There is free parking on both sides of Western Avenue. The first few spaces on Polk are not zoned and also free. Paid metered parking on Taylor Street.
Do I need to make a reservation?
Yes, one of our bad Google reviews that I cannot get rid of is someone who showed up at the door with her son thinking with no reservation. We only have three instructors, and they have other commitments. Please make a reservation here.
What time should I arrive for my lesson
Plan to arrive 15 minutes early to find time for parking and to get settled.
What equipment do I need?
We supply special deck skis or board. You can and should bring your ski or snowboard boots. We have a limited supply of ski boots; you will need to rent snowboard boots from our friends at Viking Ski shop. You cannot use your own skis on our carpet, it will ruin it.
Is Chicago Snow Studio appropriate for young children?
As someone that has taught and coached children’s skiing for over 30 years it pains me to say this, but young children do not do well at Chicago Snow Studio. The deck is intimidating, and they are often scared to go on it. For the youngest children I recommend that their first experience be on snow during the day as part of a group lesson. That is where my experience tells me children thrive as it is just more fun and engaging. After the basics and if they are passionate about the sport, Chicago Snow Studio has a place in their development. There are exceptions, but all children under 8 are accepted on a case by case basis, no refunds if your child refuses to go on deck after they see it moving.
What should I wear?
Comfortable workout clothes.

All reservations and packages are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
